Surprise Scholarship Announcement for High School Senior Ethan Ambrose

As we continue to notify our newest cohort of College Scholarship Program recipients, the Cooke Foundation has been able to organize a few surprises with our partner organizations throughout the nation.

Ethan Ambrose, an Urban Ambassador and star student at Medgar Evers College Preparatory in Brooklyn was honored at one such surprise ceremony. Ethan will attend Harvard in the fall with a full scholarship from the prestigious institution and becoming a Cooke Scholar will mean additional support for other costs associated with attendance, personalized advising, and opportunities for internships, study abroad, and networking with our scholar community. Cooke College Scholarships are worth up to $40,000 annually for four years and all Cooke Scholars are additionally eligible for a Cooke Graduate Scholarship.

“Ethan is a remarkable young man who has overcome enormous obstacles,” Executive Director Harold O. Levy said. “Cooke Scholarships transform the lives of deserving young people like Ethan who have excelled in high school and who are capable of excelling at the most challenging colleges and universities.”

Congratulations, Ethan! We are excited to watch you continue to think big, work hard, and achieve.
