May 23, 2014—Here’s what’s new in education news this week.

Forbes asserts that college is still worth the cost in “What’s A College Diploma Worth? Why Higher Education Matters.”

In “For Schools, Long Road to a Level Playing Field,” The New York Times explains the troubling rich-poor gap prevalent in U.S. schools.

“Is This Any Way To Pick A College?” examines the college decision process, and what role it leaves for the always-captivating college ranking lists.
