After months of applying and waiting, the time has finally come for high school students across the nation to commit to the college or university of their dreams. And as part of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative, our staff and scholars celebrated National College Signing Day last Friday.

Thousands joined in across social media, with Mrs. Obama making several appearances.

“To all the students in this graduation series and across the country, I want to congratulate you for reaching higher in the education you need for the life you want to live,” she announced on Good Morning America. “Barack and I are so proud of you. And to all the people out there that are still figuring out your next steps, I want to encourage you to keep working as hard as you can and to empower yourself through higher education. And then, get out there and use that education to give back to your family, your community and your country.”

As always, we are so proud of our scholars and those of you who commit to bettering yourselves through higher education. National College Signing Day is a great reminder to all of us to think big, work hard and achieve.
