Cooke Scholar Cristel Chavez Featured in Brookline TAB
With prestigious scholarship, BHS grad is Ivy-bound

When Cristel Callupe Chavez found out that she’d been chosen to receive a scholarship to earn her bachelor’s degree valued at $40,000 a year, she said it was the best thing that has ever happened to her.
“This scholarship means so much to me. It’s the only way that I could actually go to college and pay for my education,” said Chavez, who attended Brookline High School and will soon study at Dartmouth College.
