Video: Should You Apply for the Dissertation Fellowship Award?

describe the image

Are you an advanced doctoral student completing a dissertation that furthers the understanding of the educational pathways and experiences of high-achieving, low-income students? Are you considering applying for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Award?

Because it is more than just a one-time $25,000 award, we asked one of our JKCF Dissertation Fellows, Brian Galla, Ph.D., to share his experiences as a fellowship recipient. We hope this video will help those wondering if they should apply to make that decision.

Applications are encouraged from a variety of disciplines such as, but not limited to, education, sociology, economics, psychology, statistics, and psychometrics.  The application deadline is February 4, 2014.
